What happens when two of the biggest music superstars come together?
No, this isn’t another Justin Bieber/One Direction album-off. That seems settled for now, with Bieber at least momentarily on top. Now, it’s all about Adele and Drake — and the potentiality that the pair could drop a “Hotline Bling” remix and just blow 2015 to utter smithereens.
“I had a drink like three weeks ago [with] my best friends, in fact it was to celebrate ‘Hello,'” Adele recently told etalk. “And I was off my face because I don’t really drink anymore, and they’ve got video of me dancing to it on a coffee table as well.”
So, first thing’s first: We need to see this video immediately. But perhaps even more importantly, Adele has, like all of us, taken a very keen interest in Drake and wants to remix one of his songs, preferably “Hotline Bling.”
“I even got the coat that’s in the video, I got it delivered the other day, I ordered it,” Adele said. “The red one.”
This is all very nice and cozy in theory, but come on — how often do dream collabs like this actually happen? Well, Drizzy took to Instagram to respond to Adele’s comments in a way that has us both a little confused and a little excited (and a little interesting in the Sunday funnies, not gonna lie).
“Me and my main ting just coolin. ” Drake wrote, turning out hearts aflutter and setting the rumor mill ablaze. But if Drizzy reacted like this, it’s gotta mean that things are developing in that direction, right? I mean, the mere suggestion of an Adele-remixed “Hotline Bling” version is a Chrismukkah gift come early.
