Performing at Kylie Jenner’s birthday party was probably already a rewarding experience for Post Malone, the buzzing Dallas rapper whose “White Iverson” became a breakout hit earlier this year. But it wasn’t until weeks later that the true victory of the night came to fruition.
“I met [Kanye West] at Kylie Jenner’s birthday party, and he said that he liked my music,” the 20-year-old told Hot 97. “And that’s kinda where it started.”
Where it ended was a collaboration between the two, called “I Feel It,” which ’Ye debuted at his Yeezy Season 2 fashion show, and also features Ty Dolla $ign
Post wasn’t expecting that kind of opportunity to come to fruition, though.
“I was nervous,” he said. “He never smiles, I guess, and he was just smiling, and it was super cool.”
The track may not be the last time that we hear from them, either: “We’re getting back in the studio whenever we can.”
Shoutout to A&R Kylie for this one.
