News has been coming out about the eighth Fast and Furious movie since Furious 7was released. It's hard to keep track of all the details, so we're doing it for you! Who is already signed on to star? The Cast
The confirmed cast is still limited to Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, and Jason Statham, but it's expected that Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, and Ludacris will return.

Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray is on board to direct the upcoming sequel. He's a newcomer to the franchise, so it should be interesting!

In 2001, Los Angeles-based The Fast and the Furious set the tone for the series, butas Vin Diesel confirmed, it was originally going to take place in New York City. This time around, they're going back to where it was supposed to all begin: the Big Apple.

The movie is set for a April 14, 2017, release date.

It's "From Paul"
Since Paul Walker's tragic passing in 2013, Vin Diesel stated that "Furious 7 was for Paul, 8 is from Paul." Hopefully we'll find out what that means soon enough.

It's the First Movie in a Final Trilogy
Vin Diesel revealed via Facebook that Furious 8 is kicking off a final trilogy of movies. "Universal has been so good to me and so trusting of the vision," he wrote. "They have been like family . . . I promised the studio I would deliver one last trilogy to end the saga." Heck yes!
